And followed by Post Doc at NIH Baltimore in DNA repair and Telomere biology. Passionate about travelling and photography.

Dr. Raja Babu Singh kushwah received his Ph. D, from IGNOU for which he worked at ICMR-NIMR, New Delhi. Then he joined Tata Institute for Genetics and Society as a research scientist. He went to Prof. Ethan Bier’s lab at University of California San Diego, to work on the allelic gene drives in Drosophila melanogaster to show proof of concept for reversal of susceptibility against DDT and pyrethroids targeting knockdown resistance (kdr) mutations. He has an extensive and diverse research experience from bench to translation biology. His passion to serving the society by his expertise made him to Cofound B-Aatral Biosciences.

Bharath Kumar is a young dynamic Scientist whose research expertise spans multiple disciplines including microbiology, biomedical nanotechnology, Nano-therapeutics, Drug design and delivery. He also gained experience in handling pediatric Dengue and Rota virus disease severity, serotyping and rational drug design as a research Career. Overall, his merit fletched him many international journals including royal society of chemistry. Presently his work emphasize on establishing new paradigms in theragnostic and guided drug delivery where drugs can be used to both diagnose and treat diseases. Furthermore, Nano-therapeutic research focuses on précised drug delivery at inoperable sites. He is an avid learner and thrive to learn and keep himself dynamic, enjoys listening to music, playing cricket, travel and photography.

Dr. Saravanan got the University First Rank, Gold medal in M.Sc. Bioinformatics and went onto complete his Ph.D. Bioinformatics (Thesis entitled inter residue interactions in protein structures) from Bharathidasan University under the supervision of Dr. S. Selvaraj. He then joined Prof. S. Krishnaswamy’s research group at Madurai Kamaraj University in 2013 under the distinguished UGC Dr DS Kothari Post-doctoral fellowship. Subsequently he has joined for Post-doctoral work with Prof. P. Karthe at University of Madras. He was awarded the competitive DST-SERB National Post-doctoral fellowship. After that he went on to do research under a well-funded Post-doctoral fellowship at Prof. Yanjie Wei’s group at Center for High Performance Computing, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He has more than seven years of active post-doctoral research and his productivity is seen by the more than 45 peer reviewed research publications. He is the recipient of INSc young researcher award for the year 2020. He is the life member of Indian Biophysical society (IBS), China Computer Federation (CCF), China Artificial Intelligence Society of Bioinformatics (CAAI) and Institute of Scholars (INSc). At present, he is working as a Senior Scientist in B aatral Biosciences supporting various projects involving CRISPR genetic, PROTAC and molecular biology experiments.

Dr. M. Kannan Qualified B.Sc. Biochemistry first class with distinction at University of madras and got silver medal. Continued his PG and PhD Bioinformatics at Pondicherry Central University. His PhD title is focused on Ovarian cancer regulation of ID1 and ARHI: A structural perspective under the valuable guidance of Dr. R. Krishna. He joined Prof. P. Karthe lab, CAS in Crystallography and Biophysics, University of Madras as a National postdoctoral fellow (NPDF awarded by DST-SERB and DBT-RA awarded by DBT) and learnt cloning and protein expression along with various crystallization techniques for the period of 14-07-2016 to 12-04-2019. From there he moved to Department of Biological sciences, National University of Singapore at Prof. Henry Mok lab and worked on Structural and functional characterization of RNA binding proteins (R2D2, Loqs2 &Dicer2) involved in dengue RNA pathogenesis for the period of 16-04-2019 to 15-04-2020. He has published 28 international paper during his PhD and postdoctoral fellow and has four years of research experience. He is the life member of Indian Science Congress association (ISCA) and Indian Biophysical society (IBS). Currently, he working as Senior Scientist in B aatral Biosciences supporting various bioinformatics and molecular biology projects.

Meera Prabhakar, completed her masters with distinction in Microbiology from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kerala. During her masters she had got an opportunity to peruse her project at IIT Bombay on identification of Streptococcus pneumoniae surface protein as a target of ubiquitination. Where she gained a handful of practical experience in handling the microorganism and molecular biology techniques. To the keen of interest further she proceed in understanding the in vitro and in vivo mechanism of probiotic bacteria bacteriocins and their application in controlling enteric infections in C.elegans. Based on the knowledge she carried out to put forth her expertise in real-time by securing Level 3 award for HACCP in Food Manufacturing (RQF) and Level 4 International Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing. She has talent of portrait sketching through her artistic eye, as well as trained Indian classical dancer.

Prof. Ethan Bier is a pioneer in the field of Cell and Developmental biology, he received his PhD from Harvard. He joined University of California San Diego (UCSD), with more than 4 decades of experience and his perpetual hunger for Science and research has made him father of “Active Genetics”. His lab in UCSD, focuses on studying human diseases in Drosophila and with recent breakthrough his lab made its way into vector biology focusing on genetic modification in mosquitoes. Prof. Michael Gromiha received his PhD in physics from Bharathidasan University, India, and served as a STA fellow, RIKEN researcher, Research scientist, and Senior scientist at the Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan till 2010. Currently, he is working as a Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India. His main research interests include sequence and structural analysis, prediction, folding, and stability of globular and membrane proteins, protein-protein, protein-nucleic acid and protein-ligand interactions, development of bioinformatics databases and tools, structure based drug design and next generation sequence analysis. He has published more than 260 research articles, 60 reviews, seven editorials, and two books entitled “Protein Bioinformatics: From Sequence to Function” by Elsevier/Academic Press and “Protein Interactions: Computational methods, analysis and prediction” by World Scientific. His papers received more than 12,000 citations and his h-index is 58.
He is an Associate Editor of BMC Bioinformatics, Frontiers in Bioinformatics and Bioinformatics Advances, Section Editor of Current Protein and Peptide Science as well as an Editorial board member of Scientific Reports, Biology Direct, Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Genes and Current Computer Aided Drug Design. He has received several awards including the Oxford University Press Bioinformatics prize, Okawa Science Foundation Research Grant, Young Scientist Travel awards from ISCB, JSPS, AMBO and ICTP, Best Paper Award at ICIC2011, ICTP Associateship Award, ICMR International Fellowship for Senior Biomedical Scientists, INSA Senior Scientist Award, Best Paper Award in Bioinformatics by the Department of Biotechnology, India, Institute Research and Development Award from IIT Madras, Outstanding Performance Award from Initiative for Parallel Bioinformatics (IPAB), Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and Tamilnadu Scientist Award (TANSA) from Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology, India. Shikha Laloraya, Ph.D., is a Professor of Biochemistry at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Shikha received her PhD in Oncology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, U.S.A., where she worked at the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research and the Department of Biomolecular Chemistry. She then joined the Carnegie Institution of Washington, Department of Embryology, Baltimore, U.S.A., as a postdoctoral fellow and was also a Research Associate of the Howard Hughes Medical Institutes. Shikha joined I.I.Sc. as an Assistant Professor in 2000. Shikha received the Wellcome Trust International Senior Research Fellowship in Biomedical Science in India, by the Wellcome Trust, U.K., in 2001. Her research interests have focused on studying chromosome organization and genomic stability and understanding how chromosomal organization affects various chromosome transactions. Her lab also investigates the importance of post-translational modifications of proteins such as ubiquitylation and sumoylation.

Professor Maji obtained his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Calcutta University, and Ph.D. in Peptide Chemistry (2003) from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata. He did his postdoctoral fellowship in the study of Alzheimer’s disease at Harvard Medical School and later at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), USA (2002-2005). Further postdoctoral studies were carried out at Salk Institute for Biological Studies and later at ETH Zurich in the field of functional amyloid and amyloids associated with Parkinson's disease. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at IIT Bombay. His research group at IIT Bombay is trying to delineate the structure-functional relationship of protein aggregates associated with human diseases (Parkinson's and Cancer) and with native biological function and also developing amyloid based biomaterials for drug delivery and tissue engineering application. Prof. Maji is an Elected Fellow of National Academy of Science, India (FNASc), Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and Editorial Board Member of The Journal of Biological Chemistry. He is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards and honors including IIT Bombay Excellence in Teaching Award (2020), Tata Innovation Fellowship by the Department of Biotechnology (2020), NASI-Reliance Platinum Jubilee Award for Application Oriented Innovation in Biological Sciences (2019), National Bioscience Award for Career Development, by the Department of Biotechnology (2016), IIT Bombay Research Publication Award (2016), and the Young Researcher Award, Lady Tata memorial Trust (2013).

Dr. Arunachalam Ramaiah received his PhD in Bioinformatics jointly from the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, India, and Abo Akademi University, Finland. He has worked at eminent organizations in his career started with Indian Institute of Science, India, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USA, Stanford University School of Medicine, USA, and the University of California, Irvine, USA. Dr. Ramaiah recently returned to India as Senior Scientist in Tata Institute for Genetics and Society-India. He is a recipient of the prestigious ‘ISID New Investigator Award – 2016’ from the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), USA. He is a fellow of the Centre for International Mobility, Finland and the Association of Public Health Laboratories, USA, and a life member of ISID and American Society for Rickettsiology. His current research focuses on studying the genome of various arthropods and the nature of the interactions of these arthropods with their bacterial endosymbionts.

Soon after thesis submission he got post-doctoral opportunity at La Jolla Institute for Immunology, San Diego, California and moved to USA in 2016. As a fruit of which he got selected for a research scientist position at Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis city of Tennessee, USA where he is serving presently.
